23 weeks

23 weeks down, 17 to go!  Or, as my sister has said... less than that cause I'm not going to make it to my due date... we will see!  We had another doctor appointment today... I'm measuring right on track and we heard a really strong and clear heartbeat.  Our next appointment is in 4 weeks and then we start going every 2 weeks already!  With fall here and the holidays right around the corner, I'm sure those last 17 weeks are going to fly by!

We spent last Saturday in the baby's room trying to get something accomplished... lots of things moved out and furniture arranged to our liking.  I'm trying to be creative with storage solutions and got some really cute fabric bins to go under the changing table.  I'm so anxious to fill them up with cute little baby things!  Once we get the baby's room more complete, I'll post some pictures...

It's A...

Boy!

We had such an exciting day today... Today was our big anatomy ultrasound where they look at every body part, take measurements, and make sure everything is where it is supposed to be.  We also found out that we will be expecting a boy in January!  Everything looked good and this little man was quite active today once he uncurled himself and stretched out.  We spread the word to our parents when we left and, after a quick lunch, went to Babies R Us to work on the registry... I'm so glad that is out of the way!  We also found some super cute bedding at TJ Maxx that we picked up... froggies and turtles:)  Now, we just have to decide on a name!

20 weeks... Halfway!

140 days down, 140 days to go...  yay for being halfway!  And in only 5 days, we will find out if we are having a little girl or little boy!  What's your prediction?

And for those of you who love the holidays, only 108 days until Christmas!!

Now, if only we can manage to not float away this week...

19 weeks, 1 day

We had another OB appointment today and everything sounds good with the little one!  Heartbeat was in the 130s/140s and we heard a little kick at the dopplar, although I didn't feel it.  I can't wait to start feeling those kicks all the time.  I think I felt baby kick two nights ago, laying in bed reading, but it was only a few times, a few minutes apart and I haven't felt anything since.  The scale was not my friend today, but I'm also really starting to swell :( .  I knew it was gonna happen, just was hoping it wouldn't happen so soon!  I'm also hoping that once the weather is cooler all day long, that the swelling won't be as bad...  maybe a long shot but here's hoping!  I'm doing everything the OB suggested... watching salt and preservative intake and drinking lots of water... so maybe next month's visit will be better!

We go get our big ultrasound in 11 days and it can't get here soon enough!  I feel like as soon as we know what we are having, I can really get moving on some things on my to do list like registering and crafting!  Have a great day everyone... it's almost the weekend!
